KS1 Phonics is a simple, free practice app designed to help children (ages 5–6) get familiar with the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check — a short check that all children in England do towards the end of Year 1.

The app includes:
- Real words practice (organised by phonics phases 2–5)
- Alien words (made-up words) with friendly creature illustrations
- A full 40-word practice check, just like the real thing
- Progress tracking for parents and teachers
